Meaghan has been producing events professionally since 2011. She started out coordinating luxury weddings for a top wedding planning company while completing her degree in Special Event Management from the University of Florida.
Meaghan’s love affair with Northern Michigan began when her parents purchased a cottage on Green Lake in Interlochen when she turned seven and became a “summer kid.” After spending every summer up north, she knew that she was a Michigan girl at heart and relocated to Traverse City after college, where she has continued to direct weddings and social events.
Though she’s still not a fan of snow in April (the worst), Meaghan still cannot get enough of Northern Michigan and loves working with couples to plan their dream weddings in a place that holds so much meaning to her.
Meaghan drinks her coffee black, her wine red and takes her fries in any form. When she’s not planning weddings, she is likely rehearsing for a show at her local community theater or talking about how cute her dog is.
Josephine has a distinct vision for piecing together beautiful weddings, thanks to a natural ability to uncover each couples’ personal brand and a keen eye for intricate details. She has spent years working in event production and as a designer around Michigan. While becoming very resourced in event styling, she is also skilled in creating custom decor, floral design and stationary.
She also enjoys all things baking – when she is not designing, she is making French Macarons and beautiful wedding cakes as Baked by Josephine. She believes in eating pizza any or everyday of the week and that you can never have enough dogs around (her and her husband have three).
Katy comes to fox + fern with a background in event management and a love for weddings for as long as she can remember. Whether she was detailing every aspect of her birthday parties and family gatherings, organizing high school dances, or programs for her college’s residence hall, she was always known as “the planner” among those around her.
After taking classes at NMC, She started her experience at a ballroom in Grand Rapids as an intern. And while not a native to Northern Michigan, Katy fell in love with the area and decided to move back to Traverse City full time.
Katy will never turn down a cup of coffee or a chance to rewatch any episode of Parks and Recreation. When Katy isn’t working on weddings, you’ll find her at home hanging out with her rescue dog, Kimber.
Kendal studied recreation and event management at Central Michigan University. While at CMU, Kendal began skiing at Shanty Creek Resorts in Bellaire and frequenting the Short’s Brewing Pub. When it came time to apply for events internships for graduation, she knew exactly where she wanted to end up – Northern Michigan.
The stars aligned and Kendal landed a festival and events internship at Short’s Brewing Company in 2014. While interning, Kendal met her now husband Tyler and realized that Northern Michigan was going to be her new home. In 2018, she took her love of weddings and attention to detail to the next level, and she joined the fox + fern family.
When she is not working a wedding, Kendal can be found baking, hanging out with her dog Beau, enjoying a cold beer, or exploring the outdoors in her new hometown of Traverse City.
